There is a remote place on Route 50, east of Fallon, Nevada, where people come to spell out their names with rocks. And at first, because the rocks rest on the slanted side of a drainage ditch, the names are quite clear from the road.
But, over time the rocks shift.
And occasionally it rains, and water runs through the ditch, washing some of the rocks away.
Finally, all we can tell is that there were names there, once.
